This is the clan page for SpaceMonkeys, a new clan that we just started up. We play the popular online game CounterStrike, which is a modification of the the extremely popular PC game Half-Life. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, CounterStrike is a first person style shooter where you can play either the role of a terrorist or a counter-terrorist (hence the fancy "CounterStrike" title). There are several different objectives that can range from rescuing hostages to defusing or planting bombs. Ok, so those are the only objectives, but they are usually only secondary to wiping out the opposing team. CounterStrike's uniqueness comes from the teamplay and strategy elements of the game. While it's possible to run and gun against new players, the accuracy variations of the weapons and the one-shot-one-kill aspects of the game make for tough experienced players. There is a learning curve, and if you are just getting started I suggest you check out the some strategy guides. I will include some links below to some pages you might find useful, and even if you are an experienced player, checking out some of the forums or strategies might just make you a better player.
